The Faculty is the department of the University, which was established in 2012 on the initiative of the rector of Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University academician Leonid Hubersky.

Objectives of the Faculty.

Among the main tasks and functions of the Faculty are:



• Supporting of academic activities of foreign citizens at the University, as well as supporting other departments and institutes of the University in organizing trainings for the specialists at the selected educational and qualification levels;
• Preparation of textbooks and other learning and teaching materials for training foreign citizens;
• Organizing, coordinating and conducting the research according to the profile of the Faculty’s functions.
• Dissemination of information about the University. Enhancing the image of the University and promoting it among foreign citizens in Ukraine and abroad to attract foreign students to study at the University;
• Organizational assistance to foreign citizens while applying to the University and settlement in the Univerisity dormitories;
• Conducting orientation programs for foreign citizens;
• Assisting in creating the necessary conditions for learning and independent work of foreign citizens who study at the University;
• Formation of single democratic international student environment;
• Monitoring the training process of foreign students at the faculties and institutes of the University;
• Ensuring compliance with the laws of Ukraine concerning visa, passport, immigration issues and registration of foreign citizens who are studying at the University, as well as providing the nostrification of the required documents on education and the scholarly degrees (within the jurisdiction and powers of the Department);
• Organizing extracurricular (cultural, educational) activities with foreign citizens who are studying at the University, introducing foreign citizens to Ukrainian culture and traditions;
• Monitoring academic, financial and domestic discipline of foreign citizens in their relations with the University;
• Bringing about contacts with diplomats and consular institutions of foreign states in Ukraine, Ukraine embassies and consulates abroad, with law enforcement authorities, border, customs and other services, security services etc. on issues related to studies of foreign citizens at the University.
• Maintaining relations with alumni, foreign citizens - graduates of the University;
• Performing analytical work on the subject of the Faculty’s field of activities and preparation of proposals for improving the recruitment process and training of foreign citizens at the University;
• Performing other tasks and functions in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine and the University rules.
