Housing and Dining at the University
Residence
All foreign students are offered accomodations at the Hostel #13, located at Vasylkivska St., 39, at the campus of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. If you have any questions, please call +38 (044) 521-33-06.
How to get to the hostel.
The campus of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is located between Vasilkovskaya and Vystavkovy Tsentr metro stations.
You can easily get there from the "Boryspil" airport by the bus # 322 to Kharkivska metro station. Go to Palats Sportu metro station and transfer to Ploshcha Lva Tolstoho station then. Go to the station of Vasylkivska or Vystavkovy Tsentr. It’s 10 min. walk from the above mentioned metro stations.
If you arrive at the railway station, go from Vokzalna to Khreshchatyk metro station and transfer to Maydan Nezalezhnosti station. As you transferred go to Vasylkivks metro station. You can also take public bus #458 coming from Railway station.
If you arrive at the Central bus station, go to the Demiivska metro station that is right round the corner and travel to Vasylkivska metro station. You can also take a shuttle bus#38 from the Central bus station and go to the bus stop “Second dormitory – “Hurtozhytok #2”( in Ukrainian).
How to live in a dormitory
In order to stay in a dormitory student should send the application for settlement together with a questionnaire of the hostel resident in advance (at least three days) in the attached file to the email address: international.faculty@ukr.net with the marked theme “Settlement in the hostel”. After arrival in Ukraine to settle the student must report to the Faculty Dean (Vasylkivska St., 90, Off.306). After obtaining all the necessary documents the student can go to a dormitory for the settlement.

Questionnaire
Anyone willing to stay in a hostel should take into account that at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv there is an electronic accounting system of the campus residents. Therefore, a settlement in the hostel "today for today" (i.e. without first filling) is not possible.
If you have arrived with your parents
Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv provides an opportunity of a short term placement of parents or relatives of foreign students in a hotel complex of the University, which is located at Vasylkivska St., 94. In some cases, if available, the University authorities may settle family and friends of the student at the 13th hostel.
Payment for hostel accommodation
On the arrival the student must pay for hostel accomodations for a period no less than five months. Payment bill for accommodation the student gets together with the permit of the hostel. You can pay for accommodation at the bank, not far from the hostel:

- Department of "Oschadbank" (Vasylkivska st., 38)
- Department of "Privat" ( Vasylkivska St., 38, 120 (A))
Gating System
There is gating system at the university dormitories. Only with the permit may you enter the dormitory. It is issued to the student at the time of the settlement and should always be carried by student. In case of permit loss the student should report immediately to the Campus management (Vasylkivska St, 59).
Accommodation in an apartment
The University does not restrict students in their right to live outside the dormitory. However, in this case, the student should be aware that in this case he is committed to compliance with the rules regarding registration of foreigners in Ukraine and passport and visa requirements. In particular, the owner of the apartment rented by an international student must provide written agreement for temporary alien registration at his address.
