      Faculty of Psychology at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is the most prestigious educational institution in Ukraine which trains professional psychologists since 1967. Tradition of psychological education here began more than a century ago when in 1897 Professor H. Chelpanov introduced psychological studies at Faculty of Philosophy. Since then the University has been at the forefront in the field supporting traditions of classical academic psychological education and introducing the most up-to-date technologies to supply educational process and research devoted to the subject.
      The Faculty has an exceptionally qualified teaching staff which includes one Full Member and one Corresponding Member of National Academy of Pedagogical Science of Ukraine, 20 Professors and 45 Associate Professors. 686 undergraduate students, 83 postgraduate students, 6 postdoctoral students and 5 applicants together with some international students study at the Faculty. Graduates ensure real possibilities of employment and provide leading positions in different fields of psychological science and practice.
      The Faculty includes six Departments:
General Psychology
Social Psychology
Developmental Psychology
Psycho-diagnostics and Clinical Psychology
Social Work
Pedagogic
      Master Curriculum offers to choose between the following specialties:
1) “Psychology” – Psychology of Personality, Organizational, Behavior and Labor Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology;
2) “Social Work” – Social Management and Community Work, Social Work with Special Social Groups, Social Work and Professional Career;
3) “Management of Educational Establishments” – Management of Secondary Schools, Extracurricular Schools and Higher Educational Establishments.

      The Faculty offers distance learning on two specialties: Psychology and Management of Educational Establishments.
Postgraduate and PhD studies are provided with opportunities for research and skills development in teaching. There is a Specialized Academic Council eligible to assign a rank of PhD and Doctor of Psychological Sciences at the Faculty.
      The curricula of the Faculty are focused on studying fundamental academic disciplines as well as practical teaching courses targeted to develop professional competence required for work in the fields of psychology, social work and education. Students may attend courses in Foreign Languages, Informatics, Law, Economics, a wide range of Humanities and have an opportunity to study certain disciplines in English or French.
      The Faculty has friendly academic relations with foreign Universities where students can continue training and get their Master diploma. There are long-drawn traditions in holding lectures by famous social scientists and applying psychologists, sharing views between peers at workshops and conferences of both international and national levels.
      However students’ life is far from being limited by their study activity and research. The Students’ Union actively participates in social life. Future psychologists have many opportunities to acquire skills in management and communication in various spheres of life.
Faculty of Psychology provides full-time and distance learning at three educational levels – Bachelor, Specialist and Master.

Duration of study:
Bachelor: 3 years and 10 months.
Specialist: 10 months.
Master: 1 year and 10 months.

Languages of study for foreign citizens at the University are Ukrainian, Russian and English.
